Housed on the quaint and charming side of town on Gemmill lane, Angeleno occupies the space where Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chop House used to be. Helmed by Chef Daivd Almany, who was previously from Osteria Mozza in Marina Bay Sands, the restaurant boasts a farm-to-table ethic of his Californian upbringing and the warming simplicity of Italian-American fare.
At Angeleno, Executive Chef David Almany and Pastry Chef Ariana Flores source the freshest seasonal produce from farms across their native California to create exceptional Italian dishes, prepared using traditional rustic methods. Inspired by the lively Italian family table, the menu encourages guests to share dishes, creating a warm, convivial atmosphere in the dining room.
Grab a seat at the bar and watch the chef make fresh Mozzarella, hand-pulled to order.
Other highlights include the double-portion Tomahawk Pork Chop, a beautiful cut which includes both loin and belly meat.
The chop is then grilled over almond wood, dusted in wild fennel pollen from Tuscany and drizzled with freshly-pressed Tuscan olive oil.
The Veal Chop Parmigiana, a classic Italian-American preparation, is breaded and
fried before being covered in a classic red sauce and melted mozzarella.
All pastas at Angeleno are freshly made in house with signature Angeleno flour from Abruzzo Italy.
Chef David recommends the Lumache Verde, a Rigatoni Pasta dressed in a hearty, Spicy Lamb Sausage
and Swiss Chard Ragu, finished with Olives, Mint, Aleppo Pepper and Pecorino cheese.
