Cava Agusti Torello Mata Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2010 (Magnum)

Region: Spain, Penedes

About the Wine: Golden and clean. Slow-evolving fine and persistent bubbles. Elegant with delicate fruit and vanilla notes and smooth toasted hues against a balmy smoked background with good complexity. On the finish, it has delicate flavour with very well-integrated bubbles. Pleasant evolution with a creamy froth on a vanilla, toasted and brioche background resulting from its long ageing process. Very long and complex aftertaste that comprises its whole aroma and flavour. Its structure and ageing go well with caviar, smoked food, fish and meat in sauce, game, foie-gras and cured cheese.

About the Winery: Agusti Torello Mata has a reputation as one of Spain’s foremost Cava producers. The stated goal is “to make Cava with soul” working with only the traditional grapes. All of the fruit utilized is at least 30 years of age. Approximately 20% of the production is exported to a total of 31 countries.

Champagne Chapuy Brut Tradition N.V (Magnum)

About the Wine:  The very intense and slightly steely flavours of the Chardonnay blended with discrete notes of Pinot Noir give the wine an exquisite lightness and fruitiness. This Champagne presents a fruity and smooth nose of Pinot Meunier with typical notes of green apples and pears. The Pinot Noir gives then the structure and the roundness of the wine to finish by exquisite lightness and freshness of the Chardonnay.

About the WineryChampagne CHAPUY is a Family Estate of 8 ha of vineyards . The majority of them are planted in the “Côte des Blancs” with Chardonnay grape variety, which allows to produce a fine and light Blanc de Blancs Champagne, very typical of this region. Among them, 3 ha belong to the famous “Grand Cru” village of Oger. Other family plots, located in the “Coteaux Sud d’Epernay” and planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties (3ha), are used to produce the blended Champagnes, more fruity and mellow.

About the Wine:  Very fine gold colour with a green sheen. Its nose has a flowery fruity bouquet. Lively, supple and welcoming taste. Predominantly honest in a welcoming balance, it reflects a pretty grape, a fine harvest in the singing and laughter of the men and women pickers.

About the Winery: At the beginning of the XIX century, ALPHONSE MELLOT founded a tavern in Sancerre where one could savour the local wines and so began a flourishing trade that was to continue. In 1881 he was granted a licence to ship his wine throughout France and all over the World. This marked the beginning of a pacific conquest which has been pursued and developed by the family business from father to son ever since, with the eldest son continuing to bear the name of the Founder Alphonse. The wines are produced from the upper Sancerre vineyard, the most famous of which is the « DOMAINE LA MOUSSIERE ». Its exceptional quality has led to it being officially classified as a unique category amongst the Sancerre wines. The DOMAINE DE LA MOUSSIERE comprises one single vineyard of over thirty hectares.

Elisabetta Foradori Granato IGT 2016

Region: Italy, Trentino-Alto Adige

About the Wine: The “Granato” is dedicated to this ideal blend, an especially concentrated and dense Teroldego that takes root from the stones of five different vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano. Dark chocolate, exotic spice and ripe plum segue to richness and thickness of texture. The length of the finish, that can be counted in long minutes, sets this wine apart. Fresh acidity will help it age over the years.

About the Wine:  Roda I is made exclusively from the Tempranillo grape variety. It is a wine with more structure, with deeper sensations of black fruits, great wealth of minerals and more complexity. It is a wine for quietness and meditation with a style marked by black cherry and chocolate.

About the Winery: Bodegas Roda is a family-owned winery in Rioja that was founded in 1987. The winery was completed in 1991, and the first commercial vintage was 1992. Three tiers of wine have been produced, Roda, Roda I, and Cirsion, all from the estate’s 17 parcels of vines, each of which is vinified separately. No wine is made from vines less than 30 years of age. Roda I focuses on the dark fruit side of the spectrum, while Cirsion is a selection of the best vines within 4 of the 17 blocks.
