About the Winery

The winery dates back to the beginning of 1900s and grandfather Michele’s dream of planting a vineyard in the heart of the Bagnario Valley, Strevi, an area especially suitable to viticulture. After the war, his son Giuseppe built his winery in the center of the village of Strevi, to be near the train station so that he could send his wines directly to his customers. A man with deep roots, he was able to convey his passion to the entire family, and today his daughters , Michaela, with her husband Dr. Giovanni Costa, Patrizia, and Doretta carry on “the family dream ” with his same enthusiasm and dedication. They personally supervise and control every step of the production process, all the way from grape to glass.

Region: Spain, Galicia

Retail Price: S$54.00

About the Wine: This crisp, elegant 2014 Albariño offers up notes of apricot, honeysuckle and a touch of peach. About the Winery: The Pazo de Señoráns is located at Vilanoviña, in the Pontevedra town of Meis, in the Salnés area, which is one of the Rias Baixas appellation’s sub-zones. The mansion, which is owned by the husband and wife team of Soledad (Marisol) Bueno and Javier Mareque, took on its wineproducing role in 1989, although the estate had been growing vines (which now cover eight hectares or twenty acres) since the beginning of the 1980s. The estate has gained a reputation for producing high quality wines as a result of very careful and rigorous harvesting. Each plot is worked separately, enabling the grapes to be closely observed and identified. Once the vines have been selected, the grapes are carefully blended for the Pazo de Señoráns label.
