BEAUJOLAISFrom the southernmost region of Burgundy, Beaujolais is the most un-Burgundy of Burgundies. The place and the wine both differ from the rest of the region. Most Beaujolais is light and playful, not as serious as its northern cousins. Despite its colour, Beaujolais is in some ways more like a white wine than a red. The best and richest Beaujolais are from designated villages, or crus, including Julienas, Chenas, Mouli-a-Vent, Fleurie, Chiroubles, and Brouilly.

Domaine Du Vissoux Beaujolais Blanc 2009
White Beaujolais has always been served at the table at Domaine du Vissoux for generations. Maurice Chermette, Pierre-Marie’s father, vinified it in the barrel and bottled it without filtering for the family to enjoy. The wine was golden and a little cloudy from the deposit. An extraordinary wine!

Domaine Du Vissoux Brouilly Pierreux 2010
Martine and Pierre-Marie Chermette have always been inclined towards making wine that is as natural as possible and have a single goal: that their work and produce be of the highest quality. Both in tending the vines and in vinification, Pierre-Marie Chermette intervenes as little as possible. This respect means that the terroir is able to express itself authentically in each of his wines.

Domaine Du Vissoux Moulin A Vent Les Trois Roches 2010
Moulin à Vent is called “King of Beaujolais.” This is the Cru with the longest cellaring potential and which is closest to its Burgundian neighbours. As it ages, it is sometimes said to “pinote”. This cuvée is the expression of the alliance between finesse and power.
