Caledonia Australis Chardonnay Reserve 2003
The juice was fermented in French oak barriques. Partial spontaneous yeast fermentation, 30% malolactic fermentation and 30% new oak have contributed complexity and richness. This wine displays a brilliant lemon-straw colour. Intense lemon and green-melon fruit aromas are complemented by subtle hints of grilled nuts, butter and fresh cream. The rich, long palate strikes a fine balance between ripe fruit flavours, creamy textural elements and cleansing acidity.
