This is one of the best-known Cru Bourgeois for a number of reasons. One is that the vast estate of 1828 acres produces nearly 40,000 cases of wine. The property was purchased in 1965 by well-known Medoc vineyard owners, Messieurs Cailloux, Lapalu, Pages, and they have built new cellars that hold nearly 1400 aging barrals.
