Champagne Delamotte’s winemaking requires vigorous effort and top-quality fruit, that is hand harvested and sorted. Unlike Salon, malolactic fermentation does occur with Delamotte wines and disgorges occurs every three to four months. Riddling of bottles is done solely by hand by Delamotte’s “remueurs” each of whom is capable of turning 50,000 bottles a day.
This is a champagne with character and finesse, yet easy to drink. Outstanding quality borne of tradition and high standards of winemaking. Delamotte champagne is an excellent wine at a surprisingly affordable price.
