Grapes are hand selected from there own family vineyards with the help of skilled cultivators from the best subareas in Penedes.
The mediterranean climate found in the area allows the autochthonous grape varieties of, Macabeu, Xarello and Parellada are to flourish and give way to the grapes individual personalities. Each year improvements are made to the cellar, facility and viticultural techniques in order to obtain the highest quality of cava possible.
But perhaps Agusti Torello Mata's best allies are the old vineyards from some of the finest crus found in Penedes. Each year the vineyards are carefully maintained and kept and grapes are picked by hand upon reaching there maximum desired ripeness.
The house of Agustí Torelló is well know amongst cava fans and more likely then not found in the best and most famous Spanish restaurants thorough out the world.
The most famous of their cava's being "Kripta," which they present in a handmade amphora shaped bottle.
